Don’t Talk to the Cops! I get it now. For me, it wasn’t the music that hit it home (though the music was fun and upbeat). It was the live physical energy– the straight-up hyperactive, bouncing off the wall, dance till you drop, we might explode enthusiasm. It was wild and hypnotic. I highly recommend checking out a live show some time for pure entertainment. My other favorite thing: you know they’re a legit hip-hop outfit because they invited everyone and their brother onstage to rap, dance and hype. My favorite extra? Side-ponytailed Hollis, who spit fast lyrical madness.
