Timbrrr! Winter Music Festival 2014 Lineup Announced! You Me & Apollo, Hey Marseilles, and More

arh_timbrrr_site_headerOur favorite music festival-producing pals over at Artist Home made our summer worth writing home about, and it looks like they’re going to be doing the same for winter, if the lineup for Timbrrr! Winter Music Festival is any indication. Though tickets don’t officially go on sale until Tuesday, October 22 at 10am, a small batch of Timber! Passes went fast last week, guaranteeing the holders to tickets for Timbrrr! Winter and Timber! Summer Fests, plus lots more goodies. (Pro tip: A few more of those puppies will be up for grabs with the next round of ticket sales, so act fast.)

You Me & Apollo

The winter festival will feature some amazing bands, and we couldn’t be more excited to shake off the cold with the first round that was announced this morning. This wave includes our Doe Bay Fest favorite You Me & Apollo, who blew us out of the water (literally, made us swim for shore to be closer) with their tasty tunes and chill vibe. You can bet we’ll be front and center for those guys, trying to keep the fangirling to a minimum.

Guaranteed to help you dance and stomp and shake (or whatever) out the cold from your digits are The Moondoggies, who are always the highlight of Slack Fest (Artist Home’s tattooed summer ward). Plus, think of the fun you’ll have watching the snow catch in their beards…

And speaking of so much hair it’s ridiculous, Hannalee is on board, baby in tow for another excellent music fest experience. Between their dreamy sounds and the sing-along (to yourself, k? Thanks) headlining loves of our lives Hey Marseilles, we’re pretty sure at least someone is going to fall in love with a complete stranger.

Also rounding out the lineup are some of our favorite acts of the last few years, many of whom have recently released albums, or who are getting set to in coming months. We always love Telekinesis (go listen to new album Dormarion stat), Portland’s Radiation CityThe Lonely Forest (Adding Up the Wasted Hours is super), the brilliant and under-exposed Cataldo (much-anticipated LP4 is coming out in 2014), Barna Howard (who we first heard at the Vikesh Kapoor CD release), and the hard-guitared Battleme.

You can check out all the bands that have been announced so far on this handy dandy YouTube playlist, and buy your tickets tomorrow morning, October 22 at 10 am! See you there!
