In Seattle Now: Decibel Fest is For Anyone and Everyone

In Seattle Now: Decibel Fest is For Anyone and EveryoneDo yourself a favor and get out to Decibel Fest this week/weekend (it runs through Sunday). Since 2004, its focus has been electronic music featuring over 750 artists and performers.  But don’t let that scare you—since most music nowadays has elements of that genre, chances are between the classes, audio/visual focus and just plain good entertainment, you’ll find something you will like. Kimbra kicked off last night at the Showbox and started it off with a bang, but you still have plenty of time to purchase single tickets or festival passes and make it worth your while. Go on, dip your toes in…

Here’s what you have to look forward to:

-Mainstage Live shows featuring Orbital, Erykah Badu, DJ Shadow, and more…
-Q&A Sessions
with the top and most influential artists and behind-the-scenes folks
-Boat cruises
in the daytime with live shows
-Optical / Audio / Visual Showcases
with the latest and most exciting technology
-Classes and other special events

With a festival pass, you can attend almost every showcase, concert and event, which means get out there—galavant all night long, exposing yourself to new talent.

Viewing shows at various locations all over town (namely dubbed “Urban style Festival”), including: The Paramount, The Crocodile, Barboza, The Showbox, Baltic Room, Re-Bar and more. This is the biggest little festival Seattle has and it’s genuinely an experience to be in, around and a part of it. Head out to even one show and you’ll understand what we mean.
